What Should Be Considered in a Rental Agreement?
The rental agreement must include the Turkish ID numbers of both the tenant and the landlord.
It is much safer to sign the rental agreement in the presence of guarantors. Both parties must sign every page of the rental agreement.
Furthermore, specify in the contract the bank account details where the rent will be deposited and how the payments will be made in detail. If the rent is to be sent via wire transfer or EFT, you must send it with a description such as "March 2020 rent payment."
The terms regarding the security deposit and the conditions under which it will be refunded must be clearly stated in the rental agreement.
Before signing the contract, if the person is not the property owner, check whether they have a power of attorney issued through a notary.
Make sure that the address written on the rental agreement is the same as the address of the property you are renting.
To prevent potential future problems, clearly define the rental start date and the rent increase period.
