Non-pecuniary damages
Pursuant to Article 56 of the TCO (Turkish Code of Obligations);
The judge may decide, taking into account the circumstances of the case, that an appropriate amount of money be paid to the injured party as non-pecuniary damages in the event of an impairment of a person's bodily integrity.
In the event of severe bodily harm or death, it may also be decided that an appropriate amount of money be paid as non-pecuniary damages to the injured party or to the relatives of the deceased.
