Term of Office for the Appointment of a Guardian

In accordance with Article 456 of the Turkish Civil Code, a guardian is appointed for a term of 2 years as a general rule. The guardianship authority may extend this period by 2 years at each instance. Upon the completion of 4 years, the guardian may exercise the right to decline guardianship.
