Liability of the Property Owner
Pursuant to Article 69 of the TCO (Turkish Code of Obligations);
Liability for Damages
The owner of a building or other construction is liable for damages arising from defects in its construction or deficiencies in its maintenance.
Holders of usufruct and habitation rights are also jointly and severally liable with the owner for damages arising from deficiencies in the maintenance of the building.
The right of the liable parties to have recourse against other persons who are liable to them for these reasons is reserved.
