Divorce Case Due to Mental Illness

Pursuant to Article 165 of the Turkish Civil Code; if one of the spouses is mentally ill and this makes communal life unbearable for the other spouse, the latter may file for divorce, provided that it is determined by an official health board report that there is no possibility of recovery from the illness.
