What Are the Requirements for Spousal Adoption?
In accordance with Article 306 of the Turkish Civil Code;
* Spouses may only adopt jointly.
* Unmarried individuals may not adopt jointly.
* Spouses must have been married for at least 5 years or be at least 30 years of age.
* One spouse may adopt the child of the other, provided that they have been married for at least 2 years or that the adopting spouse is at least 30 years of age.
