Article 171- (1) A person who, by negligence, causes;

a) A fire,

b) The collapse of a building, a landslide, an avalanche, a flood, or an overflow,

shall be sentenced to imprisonment from three months to one year if the act is dangerous to the life, health, or property of others.

The legal value protected by the crime of negligently endangering general safety is the prevention of individuals and property being subjected to danger of an indeterminate scope.

Material elements of the crime of negligently endangering general safety:

1- Causing a fire

2- Causing a building collapse, landslide, avalanche, flood, or overflow

The perpetrator of the crime can be anyone.

The victim of the crime is society.

The subject of the crime is the general safety of the place where the act is committed.

The subjective elements of the crime of negligently endangering general safety; this crime can be committed by negligence.

The investigation procedure of the crime; the investigation of the crime is carried out ex officio, and no complaint requirement is sought.
