What Is the Time Limit for Refusing an Inheritance?
In accordance with Article 606 of the Turkish Civil Code;
The inheritance may be refused within 3 months. This period begins to run from the date when legal heirs learn of the death of the decedent, unless it is proven that they learned of their status as heirs at a later date, and for heirs appointed by testament, from the date when the decedent’s disposition is officially notified to them.
