Time Limits for Filing a Lawsuit to Deny Paternity

In accordance with Article 289 of the Turkish Civil Code, the husband must file the lawsuit within 1 year starting from the date he learns of the birth, the fact that he is not the father, or that the mother had sexual intercourse with another man during the time of conception. The child must file the lawsuit within 1 year at the latest, starting from the date they reach the age of majority.
