HOW IS THE ANNUAL PAID LEAVE PERIOD OF AN EMPLOYEE ON LONG-TERM SICK LEAVE CALCULATED?
HOW IS THE ANNUAL PAID LEAVE PERIOD CALCULATED FOR AN EMPLOYEE ON LONG-TERM MEDICAL LEAVE?
If an employee has received a long-term medical report, six weeks are added to the notice period calculated based on their length of service at that time; if the duration of the medical leave exceeds the period calculated in this manner, the excess portion is not taken into account when calculating annual paid leave. For example, for an employee with 4 years of service at the workplace who has a traffic accident and uses 5 months of medical leave, the notice period corresponding to their 4 years of service would be 8 weeks; 6 weeks will be added to this period, and the resulting 14-week period will be considered as worked when calculating the annual leave, while the remaining time will not be taken into account.
