HOW IS ANNUAL PAID LEAVE CALCULATED?

HOW IS THE ANNUAL PAID LEAVE CALCULATED?

The duration of annual paid leave is calculated based on seniority at the workplace. If an employee has worked at the workplace for one to five years (including five years), the annual leave period cannot be less than 14 days; if they have more than five but less than fifteen years of service, it cannot be less than 20 days; and if they have fifteen years or more of service, it cannot be less than 26 days. Those with one to five years of service (including five years) can only use their annual leave based on 20 days after they have completed their five-year service period. For example, an employee who started work on 01.03.2017 will have completed their 1st year of service on 01.03.2018, their 2nd on 01.03.2019, their 3rd on 01.03.2020, their 4th on 01.03.2021, and their 5th year of service on 01.03.2022. After completing the 5-year service period, the employee in question will be able to use their annual leave, which they will earn on 01.03.2022, based on 20 days.
