Vehicle Loss-of-Use Estimate
Estimate loss of use from reasonable repair days, equivalent-vehicle rental value, replacement days and fault.
Calculations run in this form in your browser; this form does not send entered amounts to a server or analytics system.
Check amounts and periods. No negative amounts. Each period needs a positive amount and duration. The numerator cannot exceed the denominator; fault must be 0–100% and additional days 0–29. Provided-vehicle days cannot exceed the repair period; daily savings cannot exceed the daily rate. At most 36 periods.

Method and scope
Included days = reasonable repair days minus days with a free equivalent replacement vehicle during that period. Loss = (daily comparable rent − daily saved expenses) × included days. Reduce for the injured party’s fault, then deduct payments for this loss only. No arbitrary fixed percentage for saved expenses is applied.
Preliminary model for repairable vehicles in private use. Actual workshop waiting time is not automatically the reasonable period; days and rate depend on damage and comparable vehicles. Days fully covered by a free equivalent vehicle are not claimed again. Diminished value, commercial profit loss, replacement time after total loss and policy coverage are excluded. Do not add an actual replacement rental invoice to this estimated loss for the same days. The result is neither a final claim nor an insurer’s promise to pay.
