Inheritance Disclaimer Lawsuit
In accordance with Article 609 of the Turkish Civil Code;
The rejection of an inheritance is made by the heirs through a verbal or written declaration to the Civil Court of Peace. The rejection must be unconditional and unqualified. The judge of the Civil Court of Peace records the verbal or written declaration of rejection in minutes. A declaration of rejection made within the statutory period is entered into the special register by the Civil Court of Peace at the place where the inheritance opened, and if the heir who rejected the inheritance requests it, a document proving the rejection is provided to them.
